A bit of perspective regarding HRT

     It is possible to take a simple saliva test to determine accurate levels of declining hormones such as Estradiol (aka "E2"), Estriol (aka "E3),  Progesterone, DHEA, Testosterone, AM Cortisol, and others.

Don't we just "love" those darn celebrities

At least they can be very adept at showing us what not to do, or at least, in this case, how not to do it!

It seems Kim Kardashian had a less than ideal experience with botox recently and decided to chronicle the event on her family's reality show.

What wasn't made clear was the reality that bruising like she had is quite rare and the shock value of showing her puffy eyes afterward

will no doubt keep many people from ever doing the procedure.  

It has to be stated that many of these unpleasant results are often practitioner error (i.e. wrong amount of botox, improper product dilution, 

imprecise injection location, dull needle from plunging it through the rubber stopper on the botox bottle before injecting into the patient, etc.)

 and shouldn't be seen as an indictment of the procedure that actually has significant aesthetic and therapeutic merit!  And as far as "waiting until

There is "good evidence to suggest that massage therapy is an effective treatment for depression."

This was the conclusion of Dr Hou Wen-Hsuan and his team from of I-Shou University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, after a recent review of 17 studies that involved over 700 participants.

In a report published in the American Journal of Psychiatry, Dr Hou examined 13 trials which compared massage therapy to another active treatment such as relaxation exercises, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) or rest, as well as four other trials which compared massage to a "no treatment" control group. The mood and severity of depression of the study participants were evaluated using a range of methods.

The researchers reported that massage therapy had "potentially significant effects" in alleviating symptoms of depression. This could be due to several reasons: massage can reduce stress and induce relaxation, and it also causes the body to release oxytocin, aka the "trust hormone". Higher levels of oxytocin are linked to lower anxiety levels, while relaxation has been shown to help reduce depressive symptoms.
